The NMR Analyzer, model PQ001, for Spin Finish
The model PQ001-Spin Finish produced by Niumag is, up to now, the only FT-NMR instrument to analyse opu in fibres. It needs 5 to 6 hours to get a result using the traditional extraction method. But the industrial production of fibres is high speed and continuous. In order to resolve possible production problems it is necessary to use other techniques, that are much quicker and less costly and that do not use chemical products. The NMR method is very quick, not destructive and does not need chemical solvents. It only needs a few seconds after the introduction of the sample fibres to obtain the resultado. The advantages of the NMR method are the following:
- Much better monitoring of the quality during the production process.
- The results are quickly obtained allowing the correction of problems in time during the production process.
- Much less expensive.
- It does not need chemical products reducing the need for special insurance.
- It should lead to a reduction in the number of employees.
