Introduction
The model MRIjx has been designed principally for teaching and experiments in the laboratory as an introduction to modern physics, medical images and bio-medical engineering. The system offers remote control, that allows the students to do their experiments at any time anywhere. With its advanced functions and design it is friendly and easy to use making the MRIjx an experimental high quality specialised instrument with a reasonable price making it a very attractive adquisition.
Characteristics
The MRIjx has three important characteristics: open, authentic, and teaching on-line.
The instrumentation and software are completely open.
The instrument is able to simular continuous wave (CW) NMR. It can also be disconfigured and reconfigured at will. With the included oscilloscope and multimeter it allows the students to get familiar with the instrumentation.
The software offers the original data from the K space and is also open. Users can make experiments with the reconstruction of the images and the processing of the signal and data, offering real and efective data for the students and teachers allowing the mathematical research and development of the image optimization after its processing.
Authentic. the internal modules are the same as those used in the medical MRI system.
Function of on-line teaching. In order to improve the instrument operation we have designed the function of on-line teaching, offering the use of the instrument via Internet whenever it is desired.
The MRIjx is a special instrument for teaching experiments and complies with modern teaching methods.
