Introduction

The NMR technology is one of the most valuable tools available today for the exploration and analysis of natural products. It is widely used in the bio-medical, chemical and alternative energetic materials, sciences and other fields and its unique method is impossible to substitute with other methods or technologies. More than 10 scientists have received the Nobel Prize for their contribution to the development of NMR from when it was introduced in 1945.

During recent years the NMR spectroscopy and MRI imaging have been used to monitor drug delivery in vitro and in vivo. However the high installation and running costs of the systems using superconducting magnets which limit the range of these applications and does not allow the expansion of this non invasive technology. Thus it is necessary to change to the NMR benchtop systems using permanent magnets which offer good results at little cost for an innovative alternative for most of the users.

The MiniMR series for NMR image analysis is a system based on a rare earth permanent magnet, nd-fe-b, for low field NMR technology that can simulate the conditions of pressure formation. This system includes many powerful functions like measuring FID, Hahn echo, IR sequences, CPMG sequences, IR-CPMG, Diff-CPMG and other related measurements to the NMR technology including the porosity, permeability and saturation of rock cores.
The system is strengthened by the incorporation of the spectrometer NMdigI that is used for medium sized samples in MRI investigations and to better the image resolution and reduce the investment and operational costs for the user.

The benchtop NMR analyzer and Image spectrometer, model MiniMR, uses a modular design that is configurable according to customer requirements. The MiniMR with its maximum magnetic field is capable of calculating 60 mm. samples and MRI analysis of medium sized samples.
